The BBS aims to promote the physical characterisation
and understanding of biomolecular functions.
To this end the Society organises and sponsors a range of
meetings and lectures and is particularly interested in
holding joint meetings with other societies.
The Portuguese Biophysical Society is to host in Lisbon the 1st Portuguese-Spanish-British Joint Biophysics Congress. This congress is jointly organized by the Biophysical Societies from Portugal, Spain and United Kingdom.

10-13th July 2008 (Thursday evening to Sunday morning).
Registration will take place on Thursday, followed by a plenary lecture, with Friday and Saturday as
two full days and Sunday morning.
The deadline for abstract submission is June, 8th, 2008.
The deadline for cheaper registration is June, 25th, 2008
