On behalf of its members, the BBS has negotiated discounted subscriptions for several journals that we feel might be of interest. If you have any questions, or if you are a publisher and would like to offer a discount to BBS members, please contact us at bbs@britishbiophysics.org.uk.
This is the EBSA publication and as the BBS is an affiliated society of EBSA, BBS members are entitled to a discounted subscription rate. The EBJ is published by Springer Verlag and aims to advance the understanding of biological structure and function by the application of the principles of physical science, and presents this work in a biophysical context. Discounted rates were €86 in 2005 for 8 issues, plus local VAT. Carriage rates are €17.20 for Germany and €20.00 for other European countries. The EBJ invites the submission of papers that employ a biophysical approach at all levels of biological organisation, including both experimental and theoretical studies, and these can be submitted online. Contents and abstracts are available freely online, along with selected articles on electronics technique. For your reduced rate please contact the journal, mentioning the BBS.
Biophysical Chemistry is an international journal published by Elsevier devoted to the physics and chemistry of biological phenomena. It features both original research as well as authoritative reviews and covers both experimental work and theoretical topics. It offered a discounted subscription rate for BBS members of €219 in 2005 for 7 volumes of the journal (volumes 111-117 in 21 issues), while the 2006 personal subscription costs €228, US$254, or ¥30,200.
